Protecting your devices

We wouldn’t think twice about putting anti-virus software on our computers but would you consider putting it on your other devices like your phone or tablet? A lot of us probably think having a pin code or a finger print is enough but there are some very clever hackers out there that can get to your personal information.

It’s important to make sure your hardware is up to date, and for Windows, Macs and Android users, you should install anti-virus software and keep that fresh too. Anti-virus will protect you from threats such as malware, Trojan Horses and traditional computer viruses. It can also warn you if you’re visiting a website that’s been reported for phishing. Clever huh?

There’s loads of packages to choose from and ‘Which?’ recommends some anti-virus software on their website at www.which.co.uk/reviews/antivirus-software-packages/article/best-antivirus-software.
